The Choristers' Prayer
Bless O Lord us your servants, who minister in your temple.
Grant that what we sing with our lips, we may believe in
our hearts, and what we believe in our hearts,
we may show forth in our lives;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Adult Choir
The Parish Choir is the foundation of our music program, singing for the 10:30 am liturgy each Sunday morning. In addition, the choir sings for special liturgies throughout the year, such as Advent Lessons and Carols, Christmas Eve, Holy Week, and Easter, when we often incorporate guest instrumentalists.
The choral repertoire of the Emmanuel choir is grounded in the Anglican choral tradition. Our musical offerings span the centuries from 16th century composers, such as Palestrina and Tallis, to 21st century composers, such as John Rutter and Mack Wilberg. And we never forget the favorite hymns that were the soundtrack of our childhood in the Episcopal church.
Choir rehearsals are held on Wednesday nights at 7:00p.m. in the Nave. The choir rehearses again at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings to prepare for the 10:30a.m. service.
Membership is open to all adults and older teens with previous musical experience who can commit to regular rehearsals and services. Contact our Director of Music at music@emmanuelathens.org.
Children's Choir
Our children's choir, The Emmanuel Choristers, praises God through their music, the witnessing of their faith, and their commitment.
They sing at many worship services and special events throughout the year including, for example, Easter and the Christmas Pageant.
Choristers training, a graded program inspired by The Royal School of Church Music, co-taught by Aimee Marcoux and Benji Stegner, is for children ages 5-13. Practice is Wednesdays from 6:00-6:45 pm in the music suite starting September 11th.
