A great opportunity for service and fellowship is available to you as an usher at Emmanuel Church. Our ushers assist those attending services and provide security for the church buildings during those services. They collect the offering and make it secure. They facilitate the flow of communicants to the altar rail during Communion.
Ushers are the unofficial greeters at Emmanuel. Often, the first welcome a visitor has with Emmanuel is from an usher as they arrive at the church for a service.
Ushers typically serve once every six to eight weeks. Any adult member of the parish may serve as an usher. Training is provided. If you are interested in serving as an usher, please contact one of the usher wardens depending on the service you wish to serve.
