Architecture, Gifts, and Memorials Committee

The AGM Committee reviews all plans and specifications for the development, improvement, alteration and repair of all church properties with a view to maintaining the architectural integrity of the properties and to assure good quality of design, materials, and workmanship in the execution of all such improvements and repairs. Architectural integrity involves any change in existing material, design, color, or location associated with building exteriors, interiors, and grounds. The Committee shall present its findings along with its recommendations to the vestry. The vestry shall decide whether or not the project shall proceed.

The AGM Committee also reviews all tangible gifts and cash gifts intended for purchase of tangible items (memorial or otherwise). Description of the gifts shall be submitted to this Committee for review prior to acceptance by Emmanuel Church. The Committee shall present its findings along with its recommendations to the vestry. The vestry shall decide whether or not the gift shall be accepted.

The Committee shall consist of seven persons, at least two of whom are members of the vestry.

  1. The chair of the vestry Resources Commission (Chair)
  2. The Senior Warden
  3. A member of the parish appointed by the rector and approved by the vestry
  4. A member of the parish elected by the vestry
  5. A member of the parish elected by the vestry
  6. A member of the parish elected by the vestry
  7. A member of the parish elected by the vestry

The four members elected from the parish shall serve staggered four year terms.
