Mission Trip to Juarez, Mexico - June 2007

Four of Emmanuel’s young adults Jennifer Lilling, Stephen Anderson, Kelsey Ford, and Christina Stanfield together with their adult leaders Joe Clements, Amelia Howard, and Robin Bewley travelled to Juarez Mexico on a mission trip to offer hands-on help to local people.  The Emmanuel contingent joined a group from a Lutheran Church in Texas and another from a Methodist Church in Florida.  Four work crews spent two days on work projects and two days working with community children as part of a summer-long vacation Bible school-type format. As you will see in the pictures below, the projects included laying block to add a room to a house, and completely rebuilding the sewer system at the YouthWorks facility where the groups were staying.
