PHILOSOPHY FOR EMMANUEL'S BUILDING CAMPAIGN
- We must repair and maintain our church and many areas of our campus (i.e., roof, termites, etc.).
- We must provide greater accessibility to all parishioners (including handicapped access), including addressing egress and restrooms and nursery accessibility.
- We must provide for a growing adult, youth and children’s formation program, including more classrooms and a discrete youth space.
- We must have more and better space for pre- and post-service support activities (e.g., Vestry, Choir, Flower Guild, Altar Guild, LEMs, Acolytes etc.).
- We must have more office space for church staff and volunteers.
- We must renovate and build according to LEED certification, whenever possible.
- We must / should reconfigure the sanctuary to better meet worship needs.
- We must / should provide more and better space for formal gathering and spontaneous gatherings (e.g., common room / parish hall, narthex, parlor, reception area for office suite).
- We must / should have more accessible parking and better drop off facilities for the church and the Day School.
- We should have more space for private meditation and enjoyable outdoor space for parish functions.
- We should provide separate space for the Day School apart from Sunday formation classes and address projected growth for the Day School.
